Emmanuel Church has recently completed a $2 million renovation of our entire facility. The Chancel was remodeled to add intimacy and flexibility to our worship space, allowing room for creative worship, concerts and liturgical drama.

Offices and children's classrooms were updated with air conditioning, and the "Boiler Room" was converted into a lovely "Memorial Room" for Vestry meetings, small group study and choir rehearsals. Outside, the old wall on Russell Road was entirely replaced and the grounds were professionally landscaped, giving our facilities a wonderful facelift.

Emmanuel Church values its parishioners as well as its role in the community. Activities include extensive outreach to local volunteer service organizations as well as a commitment to "in reach," so that the church community offers support to all members.

Emmanuel encourages participation on various committees that contribute significantly to the life of the church. Here are some of the very important opportunities:

Worship: Responsible for Altar Guild, music programs, lay readers, ushers, confirmations, and baptisms.

In Reach: Provides help to parishioners in need, whether they may benefit from a short-term meal service or cards and letters of encouragement when facing life's challenges.

Outreach: Directs Emmanuel's participation in volunteer projects, including Meals on Wheels, Carpenter's Shelter, tutoring services, and world mission outreach.

Parish Activities: Administers annual church bazaar along with coffee hours, Shrine Mont activities, and homecoming barbecue.

Christian Education: Coordinates Sunday School, adult education, youth groups, advent evenings, and Bible studies.

Stewardship: Oversees renovations, property issues, stewardship campaign, and Emmanuel Foundation.
